Meridian Bioscience Hires Vice President of Sales and Marketing
CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 2004--Meridian Bioscience, Inc., (Nasdaq:VIVO) today announced that Gregory S. Ballish has joined Meridian Bioscience, Inc. as Vice President Sales and Marketing. Ballish joins Meridian as a pharmaceutical and diagnostics industry veteran, having spent the last five years in senior sales management and strategic customer marketing roles with Janssen Pharmaceutica (Johnson & Johnson subsidiary). Mr. Ballish has also held positions of national sales and marketing responsibility for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (J&J) and had been responsible for launching several key products and leading them to a position of market strength. Earlier in his career, Mr. Ballish held senior sales and marketing roles with DuPont and Abbott Laboratories.
Mr. Ballish holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University.
As Vice President, Mr. Ballish will provide strategic leadership to Meridian's sales and marketing organization and will further expand Meridian's position as a market leader in innovative products that are designed to enhance patient well-being while reducing total costs of healthcare.
